Happy Birthday to me
On July 2nd, I turned ahhh 25 years old. (cough, cough) That's my story and I'm sticking to it. People always question whether or not I'm 25. I should know how old I am... I never changes. I really don't understand the problem ;)
Anyway, I had a great time on my birthday. It's wonderful when your kids have jobs and you don't have to pay for your own cheap gift... ah ummm, I'm mean uh thoughtful gift. One of my girlfriends celebrated her anniversary on July 1st by having a cookout. I spent a couple of hours with them at the cookout. I just pretended it was for me. shhhh, don't tell her.
Recently a couple and their children moved in our neighborhood. Their kids ages are about the same ages as my kids. They have been in the neighborhood for about a month. The kids have spent almost every moment together. When the mother found out my birthday was approaching she decided to cook dinner for me. That was so wonderful of her, especially since I've only known her less than a month. For dinner we had salmon, green beans, salad, fruit salad, baked chicken, and two cakes... one bake by her daughter; it was a lemon cake, and the other by my daughter; that cake was chocolate... my favorite. The cakes were soooo good. The entire dinner was very good.
So, this week I have to get out the fluffy girl jeans. I can't wait until next year when I turn 25. Isn't that a great age to be? Thanks for visiting.
